Forest Light was inspired by immersive experience of walking in the coastal redwood forests near my home where light filters through towering trees in ever-changing patterns. To honor the natural forms of this landscape, I worked intuitively—cutting my own hand-dyed fabric freehand, without a ruler, and quilting the top with multi-colored threads in meandering lines.

Juried into International Quilt Festival, Houston, 2024; displayed at QUILT SF, the San Francisco Quilters Guild biannual show and awarded Best Use of Color and Third Place in Modern Quilts.
