I offer a variety of fun and engaging workshops for quilters of all levels—whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills. My classes focus on modern and improvisational quilting techniques, giving students the tools to create unique, expressive quilts.
Pricing (as of May, 2026)
My fee for a full-day (6-hour) class is $800 for up to 18 students* and $400 for a half-day workshop or activity. *Extra fee for additional students.
I’m available in-person or via Zoom. For in-person events, there are additional fees related to travel, lodging, and meals.

Storyboard-Guided Improv Quilts
Workshop Description:
Transform inspiration into fabric with a dynamic, improvisational approach. In this workshop, students will bring an images to create a storyboard that sparks their creativity—it can include photos, artwork, or personal memories. Crazy for Stripes
Workshop Description:
Striped patterning has been a defining element in modern art and design, particularly within the Bauhaus movement. In this class, we’ll explore how to use stripes effectively in quilt design, from structured stripe sets to improvisational compositions. Students will learn color and design principles that enhance striped patterns and leave with a unique, modern quilt top.

Color Stories: Color Exploration for Quilters

Color StoriesI: 45 min to 1 hour activity
Color Stories I is a fun, non-sewing activity that invites students to dive into the world of color interaction. Through hands-on activities, you’ll explore how different colors work together and influence each other. This workshop will boost your confidence in creating your own unique color stories, helping you use color in more intentional and effective ways. Whether you're new to color theory or looking to expand your skills, this session is designed to inspire and empower you to make bold, informed color choices in your quilting projects.
Color Stories II. 3 Hour Workshop
Color Stories II starts with the color exploration exercises in Color Stories I, Students will discover how colors work together, influence one another, and shape the overall impact of a quilt. Moving from creating mock-ups using paper and small fabric samples, allowing students to experiment freely and build confidence in their color choices, students will translate these insights into small pieced blocks that illustrate key color interaction concepts introduced earlier in the class. By the end of the workshop, students will have developed greater confidence in working with color, created a set of unique quilt blocks for a sampler or future project, and gained a deeper understanding of color theory as it applies to quilt design.
Color Stories II - 6 Hour Workshop
Color Stories III is a full-day, immersive workshop that deepens students’ understanding of color interaction and color theory fundamentals. Building on Color Stories II, with a hands-on exploration of color relationships, students apply their newfound knowledge to build a personalized color palette for their projects, and by the end of the day, will leave with a unique mini-quilt top and the skills to confidently approach color in future quilting projects.
